NALS Region 6
 

Congratulations to Stephanie Ottino of Corpus Christi ALP (TX) - the 1st Region 6 Member to recruit 5 new members and receive her membership dues paid at her enewal date.

WAY TO GO STEPHANIE! 

Current Think Big Incentive Winners (October 1st to February 1st):

1.  Each member who RENEWS will have their name in a drawing for either (a) one year NALS membership (NALS dues only) or that amount paid toward a NALS conference - Winner:  Shannon Avalos of Corpus Christi ALP (Texas);

2.  Each member who personally sponsors a NEW member will have their name in a drawing for either (a) one year NALS membership (NALS dues only) or that amount paid toward a NALS conference - Winner:  Danny Looney of White County LSP (Arkansas); and

3.  Each NEW member will have their name put in a drawing for (a) a NALS tote bag or (b) NALS Irvine conference t-shirt (2 shirts) for a total of 3 drawings;

Winners:  Cynthia Castro (Corpus Christi ALP), Janet Frei (Waco LPA), and Deborah Dodge (Northwest Arkansas LSP). 

There were 12 drawings from all new, renewing, and sponsoring members as well for the months of Oct., Nov., Dec., and Jan. and those members will recieve a MLB All-Star sweatshirt or MLB New York Yankee World Series t-shirt.

Prize No. 1, ongoing, to be awarded in Tulsa 2010:

The top state chapter and top local chapter who gain at least 10% NET during the campaign will receive $275 toward registration for either the 2010 NALS Annual Conference in Branson, MO or the 2011 NALS Professional Development Conference in Tulsa, OK.


WINNER:  Northwest Arkansas LSP.  The names of the local chapters who achieved the required gain were put into the drawing.  Unfortunately, no state chapters were eligible.



Prize No. 2, May 1, 2009 to October 1, 2009:

Winner:  Katherine Warren, PP, PLS, NALS of Oklahoma

Katherine won a one year NALS membership from the names entered into the drawing of all those members who personally sponsored a NEW member from May 1st to October 1st.

Prize No. 3:   THIS CERTIFICATE WAS WON BY WACO LPA (Texas) DURING THE REGION 6 CONFERENCE1   WAY TO GO WACO!

The NALS Foundation gave each Region a certificate for "One" free NALS WebEd Webinar (good for one person).  The name of each chapter in Region 6 will be entered into the drawing.  The winning chapter may use the certificate through their chapters however they would like for an individual to have the opportunity to experience a NALS WebEd Webinar. 
Think Big!  What was it?

Well, it was our new membership plan that started March 13, 2009 in Tulsa.  The plan involved 8 teams (the 8 regions of NALS).  The challenge of the Think Big! plan was to gain 10% NET members between March 13, 2009 and March 1, 2010.  The winning region will receive a free reception/party at their 2010 regional conference.  Also, the 3 team leaders will also have their airfare and hotel paid to attend the 2010 regional conference.


Although no Regions gained the required 10% NET this year, the last 3 months have seen an increase in membership.


Think Big! will continue for 2010-2011 with your Region Director being the Team Leader and members of the team will be chosen from each state.  The SMCs and LMCs (state and local membership chairs) will be included in discussions regarding Think Big projects throughout the year.
